Photoshop Phriday: Jake Rudock
In the afterglow of Jim Harbaugh’s hiring last winter one question that hung over the Michigan football program was who would be quarterback come September. That question was answered late in the spring when it was announced that 5th year QB Jake Rudock would transfer to Michigan from the University of Iowa (Mary Sue Coleman was a previous Iowa to Michigan transfer). Had Rudock not transferred presumably Shane Morris would have been Michigan’s starter, but it seems Rudock handily won the QB competition.
Rudock completed his undergraduate degree at Iowa and is prepping for medical school by getting a Master’s in Kinesiology at Michigan. He struggled in the first two games of the season (including the opener against a ‘looking better every day’ Utah team) but has shown improvement since and turned in a quality game against BYU last week. Given the weather forecast for tomorrow’s game against Maryland, Rudock probably won’t have as many passing opportunities as usual. But like Jim Harbaugh, Jake Rudock has a love for pumpkin sourdough and has been seen enjoying a few slices each day after practice (Photo credit to Bryan Fuller.
